Hi! I swim BR, IM, and mid to distance FR. What suit would you recommend? Carbon Flex or Air? I’ve had swim sales reps recommend both. Thanks!

Hello,
The Carbon Air is recommended for long distance because it doesn't have as much compression. If you prefer compression however, the Carbon Flex is what you would want to go with.

I swim only breaststroke. My events are the 50, 100, and 200 breaststroke and all other strokes for me are pretty bad so I would only wear this for breaststroke. What suit should I get?

I am a butterfly and freestyle sprinter (50m/ 100m). What suit would you recommend? I'm stuck between the carbon pro and the carbon flex since some websites say the carbon pro is great for sprints and while others say the carbon flex is the best for sprints. If you could enlighten me it would be great!

Thanks!

Hello,
For sprints we recommend the Flex due to the compression.

Hi, I was wondering which would be best for hip flexibility in breastroke. I usually wear the LZR 2 because it feels the best & do not like the LZR X because it was restricting.
Swimoutlet.com

Hello Kelsie,
The suit with the most hip flexibility will be the Carbon Flex.

HI, ive noticed that most sellers are not doing the carbon pro or the carbon pro mk2 jammers do u know why?
swimoutlet.com

It really depends on the swimmer and what type of suit they're looking for. Materials, style, compression fit etc. Among any brand, you will always have certain styles that will sell more than others.

I got an Arena suit a while ago and I was wondering if it is still good. I used it at a 3 day meet wearing it for warm-ups also and a prelims final meet that I wore for 2 days. The water seemed to be good, but that was 6 months ago. Is it time to buy a new suit? I'm a breaststroker.
Swimoutlet.com

Hello Allie,
Typically a tech suit will last about 1 season if used only during meets. However if you still feel compression after putting it on, then it should still be fine.
Maksym

For your short distance races I would recommend the Flex. It offers more Compression than the Pro and is recommended for short distance races.

Hi Ranga,

Based on your distances and strokes I would recommend the Arena Powerskin Carbon Flex VX. This is going to give you the compression you want while also allowing for more flexibility in the hips.

I have a Powerskin ST in size 32 - it fits well, but I want a bit more compression and an upgrade... would I still be a size 32 in the carbon flex?
Swimoutlet.com

Hello Rachel!
The Carbon Flex will definitely provide better compression than the Powerskin ST and they both have the same sizing chart measurement so yes, you would still be a size 32!
Jesus Monera

Hi there,
What is the technical difference between open and close back? I understand the open back will be easier to fit in and out but what about performance?

Kind regards,

Jmonera.
SwimOutlet
Hi Jesus,

Closed back Tech Suits will give more compression than the Open Back Tech Suits. They do both offer the same range of motion. It really comes down to the preference of the Swimmer. Some swimmers prefer a closed back because they like the added compression and water wicking abilities of the fabric.

HI i currently have the arena Powerskin St and am looking to buy a more high end speedo suit, I am a 50m sprint swimmer for 50 fly, 50 back and free, what speedo jammer would you recommend, i am considering the lzr elite 2 thanks
swimoutlet.com
The Speedo lzr elite 2 is a great choice. In my opinion, it has some really great features. 40% more durable water repellency, bonded seams for durability, full body compression to reduce muscle oscillation and a 1.5" higher waist for core stability, support and body contouring.
Saif

Thanks for the feedback, but, which one is better? the lzr x, or the elite 2 and for what strokes and distances, Thanks
Swimoutlet.com

Hello Saif,
They all work for all distances/styles. There is no one suit made for specific race styles.

Hi, I was wondering how to properly take care of the Arena Carbon Flex VX, do I need to use tog wash?
Thanks,
Oxford
Swimoutlet.com
Hi!
After every swim session, wash your swimsuit by hand with a mild soap and water. We would recommend turning your swimsuit inside out when you wash it to avoid damaging the delicate outer layer. Allow your suit to dry naturally when drying outside, do not hang in direct sunlight. Try to make sure that your swimsuit is laid out flat to dry to avoid folds and wrinkles. Let us know if you have any questions. Have a great day!
