Arena Carbon Air Technology
INTELLIGENT COMPRESSION MEETS COMFORT
CARBON BANDS FOR INTELLIGENT COMPRESSION
By integrating Carbon Fibre Bands into the horizontal weave of the ultralight Carbon Air, the full power of Intelligent Compression is unleashed. This new fabric design offers the swimmer a powerful and controlled degree of compression together with a supreme level of comfort without compromising performance.
Horizontal Carbon Rings lock down at a critical
stretch point to provide comfortable, lateral
support and control when and where it's needed.
The woven carbon fibre, elastane and nylon fabric
weighs in at an incredibly light 125 g/m2, making the
swimmer feel as if they are wearing a second skin.
The sleek construction and simplicity of this design
allows the swimmer unparalleled freedom of movement.

I swim breaststroke as my main stroke (from 50m to 200m), but also freestyle (50m to 200m), butterfly (50m and 100m) and IM (100m to 400m).
What suit would suit me best ?
I understand Flex goes for breaststroke, while freestyle and butterfly would look for Pro and/or Air.
Thanks

We then recommend you the TYR Venzo for you. It is one of the best and newest tech suits currently available. It is a feature-loaded tech suit designed for fast racing. This is an excellent suit for breaststroke, freestyle and butterfly.

thank you for the recommendation.
However, despite the amazing design of the TYR suit, I am more into Arena (plus the TYR one is out of my budget, sadly).
Do you have a suit which comes close to the Venzo suit at Arena or constitutes a good compromise ? (budget of 250€ for information).
Thanks and regards

tell me exact way to measure my size
i was using size 26 in speedo lzr
We recommend the carbon flex for power and flexibility. In order to determine the proper fit please take your actual waist measurement (where you want the waistband of the suit to fall) in inches and then compare it to our sizing charts. Sizing charts can be found at the very bottom of any page you are on. In general, the suit size will be comparable to the actual waist measurement. Competition suits are designed to fit snug, you may wish to size up depending on the fit you desire.

Based on the information you provided, we would recommend going with the Carbon Flex.

All of these suits will work great for all styles. The biggest difference in these suits is the compression. Most short distance swimmers prefer more compression than long distance swimmers but this is personal preference. If you like compression, the Flex is the best but if you don't, the Air will be the best choice.

My daughter wears a Powerskin ST size 22 and I would like to know what size she should get on the arena carbon air. Thanks

Since these are both Arena tech suits, she would be the same size in both.

Typically we recommend the Flex for short distance and the Air for long distance. This really come down to swimmer preference. They are both great suits. If you prefer more compression, then the Flex is the suit for you. If you don't care for as much compression, then the Air is what you should go with. Hope this helps!

We suggest that you follow the sizing chart with your measurements, not going off what your typical size is as tech suits run different than practice suits typically.

The Carbon Air can be used for any stroke. It really depends on your needs as a swimmer to decide if this will be a good option for you. It's a lightweight and comfortable. The additional comfort this suit provides makes it great option for mid to long distance swimmers. Overall, If you need a tech suit that will provide comfort without taking away from performance this is definitely a great high quality option.

The Carbon Flex would be the better option for short distance sprints in all strokes. It provides more compression while still being flexible.

For sprint freestyle events, I would suggest the Arena Carbon Flex. This suit provides more compression for shorter swims.

The Flex is a better option. You might be a size 30 since you wear a 24 in Speedo. To double check, please provide your waist and hip measurement. If it falls under waist 30-31" and hip 36-38" then it's a size 30.
