Hello,

I swim breaststroke as my main stroke (from 50m to 200m), but also freestyle (50m to 200m), butterfly (50m and 100m) and IM (100m to 400m).

What suit would suit me best ?
I understand Flex goes for breaststroke, while freestyle and butterfly would look for Pro and/or Air.

Thanks

Hi Amaury!

We then recommend you the TYR Venzo for you. It is one of the best and newest tech suits currently available. It is a feature-loaded tech suit designed for fast racing. This is an excellent suit for breaststroke, freestyle and butterfly.

Hi all,

thank you for the recommendation.
However, despite the amazing design of the TYR suit, I am more into Arena (plus the TYR one is out of my budget, sadly).
Do you have a suit which comes close to the Venzo suit at Arena or constitutes a good compromise ? (budget of 250€ for information).

Thanks and regards

SwimOutlet

Hi Ahshaan!

We recommend the carbon flex for power and flexibility. In order to determine the proper fit please take your actual waist measurement (where you want the waistband of the suit to fall) in inches and then compare it to our sizing charts. Sizing charts can be found at the very bottom of any page you are on. In general, the suit size will be comparable to the actual waist measurement. Competition suits are designed to fit snug, you may wish to size up depending on the fit you desire.

I am 13, size 28. I wanna know what the best suit is for all of the strokes( so not a suit that specially helps with br or fly) I want a suit that is equally even power for all of them.
Swimoutlet.com

Hello Anna,
All of these suits will work great for all styles. The biggest difference in these suits is the compression. Most short distance swimmers prefer more compression than long distance swimmers but this is personal preference. If you like compression, the Flex is the best but if you don't, the Air will be the best choice.

I usually only swim freestyle but i vary from 50m to 200m/400m. Which suit would be best for me?
Swimoutlet.com
Hello Meg,
Typically we recommend the Flex for short distance and the Air for long distance. This really come down to swimmer preference. They are both great suits. If you prefer more compression, then the Flex is the suit for you. If you don't care for as much compression, then the Air is what you should go with. Hope this helps!

Hi Taegen!
We suggest that you follow the sizing chart with your measurements, not going off what your typical size is as tech suits run different than practice suits typically.

I am looking at getting a new suit for big competitions. I mainly swim distance events (1000, 1650). But I also swim Breaststroke a lot and it is another strength of mine. Would the Arena Carbon Air or the Carbon Flex be a better investment?

Is the Carbon Air for Breaststrokers?
swimoutlet.com
Hello Ryan!
The Carbon Air can be used for any stroke. It really depends on your needs as a swimmer to decide if this will be a good option for you. It's a lightweight and comfortable. The additional comfort this suit provides makes it great option for mid to long distance swimmers. Overall, If you need a tech suit that will provide comfort without taking away from performance this is definitely a great high quality option.

Hi, my best events are 50/100 breast and all of backstroke. IM is also a strength and I was wondering what suit would be the best for me. I was looking into the arena flex and pro but I also know that the speedo LZR racer X is a good suit. Quality, durability and performance wise which would be better? Thank you!
swimoutlet.com
Hello Taty! The Arena Carbon pro would be a great option. We are limited to one size left 32 in Cyan color as this is a discontinued suit. If this is not the size you need we suggest checking out the Arena Carbon Flex VX. Really high quality suit that provides durability and helps performance.

I swim 200 Free, 200 IM, and Breaststroke and wear size 24 in Speedo LZR. What size Arena Carbon Flex/Air should I wear is what Arena is best for me??
swimoutlet.com
Hi Tom,
The Flex is a better option. You might be a size 30 since you wear a 24 in Speedo. To double check, please provide your waist and hip measurement. If it falls under waist 30-31" and hip 36-38" then it's a size 30.
