What do swim teams wear?

Swim teams will typically wear competitive swimwear, which includes an athletic swimsuit that the swimmer feels comfortable and aerodynamic in. They'll also wear tracksuits called warm-ups to attend swim meets, and parkas once they get out of the pool in order to keep them warm and ready to dive in again for their next race.

It's important that the swimsuit fits close to the skin, providing streamlined movement through the water. Shorts, trunks and t-shirts have too much excess material and will slow you down.
