2018 Fashion Swimwear Trends That We Love

Summer 2018 is here, but not without a fresh dose of new fashion swimwear trends. Each year, we look forward to reporting on the newest and hottest styles of the season. And every year, in our opinion, they get better and better with attention to detail and flattering fits. As we gear up for Miami Fashion Swim Week, we've got our favorite trends and styles on our minds.
This year we’re seeing a lot of must-have apparel trends, textures and hues, carrying over into the swim scene-- and we're into it! So, without further ado, here’s what you can expect to see strutting in the sand and sun this summer.
Ribbed Textures
Textured swimwear is all the rage right now, and ribbed details are selling fast. You’ll find textured ribbing on both solid and printed swimwear, and across all silhouettes. It's one of our favorite trends this season, and rightfully so.
Golden Hues
Stay golden in warm, yellow hues. Marigold is undoubtedly the color of the season, and we’re seeing it across all swimwear brands and styles. Wear a one piece in lieu of a bodysuit, or pair a bikini with a kimono-- either way you'll be golden (literally).
Tropical Print
Keep it tropi-cool in one of our favorite prints of the season: banana leaf. Shop this style in multiple colorways, and all shapes and sizes. Just add water and you’ll almost feel like your in your own Hawaiian oasis (almost).
Retro-Inspired Cuts
From high-cut legs and high-waisted bottoms, to off-the-shoulder necklines, and deep scoop-back one pieces, the ‘70s and ‘80s have made their great return. These styles are timeless and we’re all in!

Yep, you read that right…velvet swimwear! It's chic, it's sexy, it's edgy -- it’s a thing, and it’s trending. Try rocking a velvet onesie at your next pool party and thank us later!
Gingham
Gingham style! Everyone’s favorite fashion trend is taking the swim industry by storm. We love a good gingham print, and we have plenty to go around this summer! Pair it with a fun hat and straw bag for the ultimate summer style.
