We are a swimming family and some of our favorite memories this summer came at the pool. My oldest, Annabelle, got to be a part of the swim team this summer while my middle child, Hattie Rose, learned to go off the diving board. While the college coaching season at Mizzou gets very busy I still love getting in the water. Every year we find a few swimming gifts under the tree at Christmas. Here’s my own holiday wish list that I am going to send Santa. Hopefully, I have been more naught than nice!

Music/Books

The Avett Brothers, Live Vol. 4 – Let’s start with an easy gift via iTunes. I’ve listened to the The Avett Brothers for a while and love their music. Watching them on Youtube perform live is the reason I went with the live Album here!

“How Bad Do You Want It” by Matt Fitzgerald – A great book about sports psychology and great moments in endurance sports written by a journalist, coach and sports nutritionist.

Under the Tree

Fleece Hooded Jacket – When it gets colder, I love throwing on a fleece hooded jacket. Its comfortable and warm at the same time and you can keep it on indoors unlike other jackets that look weird indoors.

Arena USA Swimming Full Zip Jacket – I love that everyone can represent Team USA exactly like the athletes on the medal stand.

Arena USA Swimming Hooded Sweatshirt Rep team USA, stay warm and be comfortable. White is the way to go, it just looks clean until it’s not. ?

Kiwami Men's Kaha Swim Boxer – I prefer training in a square leg suit. It has a little more fabric that a traditional brief but not as much as drag suit. Also, Kiwami has pattern options that I really like.

USA Swimming Women's All Stars & Stripes Crew Neck T-Shirt A family that cheers for Team USA together stays together. My wife has always been my biggest supporter.

USA Swimming Women's V-Neck T-Shirt Start those kiddos young. I have 3 little girls that look great in red, white and blue….. and oh yeah they love purple.

Comfortable Flip Flops – You can never have enough flip flops so I love to get a new pair every winter. I usually go for ones with a wide strap and comfortable sole over thin and cheap. They will probably stay in my closet until spring but I will rock them all spring and summer. Repeat next holiday!

Stocking Stuffers

Bonk Breakers Peanut Butter & Chocolate Chip Energy Bars - These things taste great and are pretty good for you since they use all natural stuff. A must have in your meet swim bag.

Moji Mini Pro Massager – Massage is one of the best ways to keep your body healthy. Don’t have time or money to have someone else do it for you, try the Moji. These are great too because you don’t have to get all greasy with lotion.

Big Ticket Item

Surftech Robert August 11'6" Woody SUP Board – Do I SUP? Nope. Do I wish I did? YUP.
