Any time a new technical suit is rumored to be coming out from one of the leading swim brands, the buzz explodes like a tidal wave. What will it look like? What is the new material? When can I get it?

Speedo is a household name for swimming and we know when they introduce a new product, specifically a technical suit, it’s going to be something we can't wait to get our hands on. We were right.

After much pre-launch promotion and hype, the date is finally here to get your own Speedo LZR Racer X!

When the SwimOutlet.com retail team first saw the suit, we saw that the LZR X had taken the Fastskin line to a new level. I was incredibly excited to finally see and touch the suit for the first time in our office last month.

Not only does this suit have the look of a champion but the new fabric they debuted is beyond anything I’ve ever felt in a tech suit. The LZR X had an extensive development process, using input from 330 world class swimmers across the world with over 10,000 hours in product development.

The LZR X debuts higher compression with Racer Comprex and Pulselite fabric that gives you one-way stretch technology for better freedom of movement – giving a swimmer the best of both worlds.

The women’s suit debuts Ab Activators, which help to promote optimal body position in the water, and Laser Cut Precision Straps, giving you the perfect balance between stretch and comfort. Ladies, you will love these features! No more rolling of the straps while you take down your best times - these stay in place.

The revolutionary “X” design on the women’s neck to knee and men’s jammer is the icing on the cake. These support seams not only glisten on the block but improve the linkage of the muscular kinetic chain, which helps you maintain a better position and high-leg kick.

Look for this suit very soon! Some of the world’s best swimmers, including Nathan Adrian, Elizabeth Beisel, Tyler Clary and Ryan Lochte, will be wearing the new LZR Racer X. It’ll be hard to miss them when they break records in this one!

Look for our independent expert reviews of the LZR Racer X from Gold Medalist Mark Gangloff and Trials Finalist Julie Stupp next week and don’t forget to leave a comment on our Racing Technology Guide for a chance to win $100 towards a tech suit in April.

Check out the suits here and be one of the first in the X.
