Start at inner shoulder, come down the front of the torso and go between the legs. Continue up the back to the start of the tape on the shoulder.

These work great for my 6 year old. He calls them Goo Goo Gaa Gaa's cause he said they remind him of a diaper. Took him a day to get adjusted to wearing them as I think he felt a bit exposed. Once he got in the water I think he completely forgot about it. My son is on the tall slim side so the smallest size works best for him. We ended up ordering 4 additional pair and will be ordering another 10 pair soon as he is on a swim team. He was incredibly uncomfortable in jammers so these provided him better comfort physically. He said that jammers make him feel like a million people are in his pants squeezing his penis so those were a no go for us. He had no complaint with these as far as comfort goes.
