Training suit speedo 30 /32tech suit speedo 23. Could fit in 22 but it was his first tech suit and he was feeling more comfortable in 23 ( still great compression)

The quality of this suit seems great. My son is very competitive in backstroke and we were excited to try this suit. Please keep in mind if you want to buy - the size chart is completely wrong. We bought a 23 given the sizes chart - and his measurements are exactly within the parameters. Not even close!
Ordered a 24 - as I know they are meant to be tight and this size was already bigger vs his measurements and I didn't want it to be too big. Nope! Again not close.
We are accustomed to tech suit and have owned many. TYR no issues. He took over 25 minutes to carefully try to get it on without compromising the suit. There was NO way it would fit. He is very athletic, lean, fairly tall given his age, 30" waist, 6' tall, narrow hips. And yet.... doesn't fit at all.
I am tempted to get a size that is supposedly 4 times his measurements according to the size chart but I am afraid it won't fit and then I am paying each time for the back and forth to return any given suit.
Being a swim outlet member I try to keep my purchases here - but this suit sizing has been a nightmare. That being said, we wanted to try given it is stoke specific. I also can tell it is high quality. But I will have to find it locally. Speedo sizing here is way off
