Me:5' 6", 140lb with a long torso, purchased size M.This is a review after my first ride. I have not swam or run in them yet.Pros:- My first pair of 8" shorts. I really like the length better, even with my short legs- less sausage legs.- A thicker chamois pad than my other pair of tri shorts, which was really just a glorified fleece liner. The chamois on these is a thin layer of a foamy material. I guess I'll see how they are in the water, but this is a plus on dry land.Cons:- The chamois pad is way too far back- my sit bones hit about an inch in front of the edge of the back part of the pad, so I have no padding at all under my sit bones and the back edge of the pad hangs off the back of my saddle. It might be just how the brand fits my anatomy, but this will be the second pair of Pearl Izumis that I'll be taking a sewing machine to in order to mover the pad forward about 2-3". FWIW, I tend to carry my weight in my rear, so that may be causing the shorts to rotate too far back for me.Hopefully the shorts will survive my sewing machine, because I like everything except the useless pad placement.
