Of course it can be used as an ordinary sock, not bad for water shoes. Swim fins make swimming at the beach more fun and can be part of pool training. Most of the time, bare skin is OK, but a slippery in between layer can be a helpful lubricants.

Not what I was expecting but open water swimming is new for me. I don't think they are meant for keeping your feet warm. Although I purchased 3mm neoprene booties, and I wear the socks underneath which makes it easy to get them on and off. It's also helpful to have the socks on to get in and out of the wetsuit. Socks seem to be slightly loose, not really an issue for me when wearing the booties over them.

Great product. Wore it all week for a Great White Adventures dive trip to Bonaire. They worked perfectly and my feet were blister free!!!

I like a rugged slippery sock to help with putting my wetsuit and booties on and off. These work pretty well, but I think I got the wrong size. It's hard to know ahead of time but, surprising to me, I've needed XL for other similar accessories even though I'm a Large in my wetsuit and a medium in swim trunks. So, they're a little big on my foot, but it hasn't been an issue yet. If they stretch out through use that may change.
