I should start out by saying that i am a contemporary ballet dancer who started to swim for it's MANY benefits and discovered just how many training possibilities there are in the pool with the proper equipment. I like this board because it is a small, streamlined board that's not a pain to haul around. The fact that it will follow me underwater a few inches is a bonus since it allows me to maintain proper alignment which is imperative in any excercise and it's perfect for one handed use, which can be an eye-opener for any imbalances i may have. Very happy with the board.
Strap needs to be adjustable. I have an 8 year old and a 12 year old and their hands are totally different sizes.
i use this kickboard mostly for side kicking. you really need a snorkel with it for freestyle swimming, but i"m getting adjusted to raising my head above water for air. It is light weight and can be used under water during flip turns. If you have a bad back it keeps your spine aligned straight.
The worst kickboard I ever had--no instructions of substance. Go with the good old-fashioned kickboard. Save your hard earned $$.
great with a snorkle, but hard to use without one. for extgended face down kicking laps, this is good, easy on the shoulders, reduces the strain of larger kickboards that force your shoulders up at an uncomforbable angle. But, you will want to use a snorkle, it's hard to breath otherwise, as this allows your head to be lower in the water than the larger boards, and you will have to keep changing your position to raise up for a breath.
I swim with it almost everyday. It does exactly what the manufacturer claims. It glides very easly through the water and it helps keep proper position and alignment in the water. I would recomend using it with their snorkle since it floats a few inches under the surface you can't keep your head out of the water as with other kickboards.
