Ocean Pacific, also known as OP, began by outfitting surfers, skateboarders, beach-goers and BMX riders with their version of California style. While originally started as a surfboard label in the 1960s, OP founder Jim Jenks created an apparel line in 1972 to outfit swimmers and surfers both in and out of the water, and the popularity rapidly expanded from coast to coast. As surfing became more popular, so did the demand for functional and stylish day-to-day wear. OP ran with the opportunity and now is a leading manufacturer of bathing suits, board shorts, and outdoor lifestyle apparel.
