Bio: Timothy O’Donnell swam through high school at Wyoming Seminary College Preparatory School where he was team captain and achieved many records. After graduation, O’Donnell made the move to Annapolis, Maryland where he enrolled in the United States Naval Academy. While in the academy, his brother prompted him to give triathlons a try. Shortly after, O’Donnell joined the Naval Academy’s tri team and led them to two US National Triathlon Championship titles. In 2003 he transferred to Cal, where he graduated two years later with a Masters of Engineering. In 2008, O’Donnell competed in the Olympic trials, just missing the Olympic team with a 6th place finish. Following the 2008 Olympic year, O’Donnell left the U.S. Navy to focus on the sport and Ironman Championship races.
