About This brand

It was the year 1961 when world renowned surf artist and publisher John Severson included a "Toes on the Nose" layout in the debut issue of Surfer Magaine, then called Surfer Quarterly. Inspired by the art of longboarding, this editorial column depicted the classic maneuver of the surfer's toes hanging off the edge of the tip of the board, hence the name Toes On The Nose. It was the magazine's first regular feature. Severson designed the legendary logo which remains today. With the blessing of Surfer Magazine, Toes on the Nose surf apparel company was established in 1992 in Laguna Beach, California with the mission to define its image through the definitive soul and artful style of longboarding. Cultivated from its deep noseriding roots and strong commitment to its authentic beach heritage, Toes on the Nose reflects its style through its signature classic look with high quality fabrics, trims and construction. Yet it is more than just clothes. It is an attitude and a lifestyle... of clean living and celebrating the tradition of longboarding. It is about friends and family and loving life. It is about sunsets and the sun on your back. It is about that perfect morning session. It is about honoring the pioneers of surf.. from Duke to Doyle. Today Toes on the Nose continues the tradition, catering to the outdoorsman who wants the clean and classic style reflecting the simplicity of earlier times.
