My son is 12 yrs old and his waist is 24in and hips 28in. I bought a size 24 thinking it is a size bigger than his usual suit and I can have it on stock and ready when he turns 13. The size chart indicates size 22 for for his size. This size 24 was way too small. It will not even pass thru his thighs LOL. and my son is skinny and weighs about 61lbs. The material is kinda thin especially on the side where there is no lining. This item was probably on sale because of wrong sizing label. I have to return it right away and pay for shipping ;(
