The item is true to size. Please take you son's actual waist and hips measurements in inches, then compare them to the sizing chart of the item: https://www.swimoutlet.com/size-charts/speedo/speedo-boys-swimwear-4-20-sizechart_s667/

10/03/2019 My son is 4 and 20” waist...should I buy size 5 or 6? I read it runs small. EditUpdate your question: Content is required.
Based off his waist size he should be a size 4 as the waist for a size is 22" giving him a little extra room. We would not recommend a size 6 as the waist may be too large and the jammer be too long.

02/16/2018 can you wear this suit to a swim meet if its in New Jersey because of its no tech suit restrictiion EditUpdate your question: Content is required.
The Speedo Boys' Learn to Swim Jammer (4-10) is not a Tech Suit so it should be ok to wear in a Meet that has a No Tech Suit Restriction. I would still recommend contacting your Coach to verify the Rules and Regulations for this particular Swim Meet.

05/28/2016 I cannot find the size chart any where for this particular swimsuit. I called SwimOutlet, and although they were very nice, the rep didn't send me the correct chart. Please help. If you could share the link or snapshot a picture. If like to know the waist measurement in inches and size to match. What waist size is the 4? 5? 6? I have no idea what size to buy for both of my boys. One boy measures 19" inch waist. The other a 20" waist. EditUpdate your question: Content is required.
Please refer to the sizing chart below for the Speedo boy's swimwear.

09/21/2015 I went to our local swim store to buy my boys jammers. I bought them in a size 24 and 30. How do I purchase them from you when your sizes are completely different? EditUpdate your question: Content is required.
Swim suit sizes are not standard and will vary from brand to brand and often depend on the style and materials. Often swimmers will wear multiple sizes in different suits. SwimOutlet.com recommends comparing your measurements to the sizing chart provided by the manufacturer for each suit you are interested in. You can see the sizing chart by clicking on the BLUE letters that say "View Sizing Chart". This is found just above the sizes available for each suit on their product page.

09/17/2015 I had my son measured for a suit and they said he was a size 26. I was looking at this suit and its not sized the same way. Do you know the conversion? EditUpdate your question: Content is required.
The size 10 is equivalent to a waist size of 25.5 inches. The 10 would be a good fit since the suit is made of Nylon/Xtra Life LYCRA giving it some stretch.
