This yoga mat is definitely lightweight and well designed. The grip seems good, however don't expect the comfort that a thicker yoga mat offers. I would suggest it to intermediate users and above.

This mat was absolutely PERFECT for my trip to Mexico! It folds up so small I was able to put it at the bottom of my carryon and still not have to check a bag at all. The grip is spot-on - I didn’t slide around as I practiced out on the white sand beach in 90 degrees F and 75% humidity. Once finished, I gave it a good shake and all the sand came off so it wasn’t all over the things in my bag.

1st time purchased a rubber yoga mat. How can I rilex doing yoga with extremely strong rubber smell, instead of lavender lol. Washed it twice, hung it in the bathroom for at least 3 weeks for the smell to dissipate, but not completely.Other than that, it's a good mat. If the rubber smell will disappear completely, I'll consider buying a thicker one
