The buoy has held its air for days. It is very visible for swimming in open water. My only concern might be that it is not as large as some others - that is nice for the swimmer but harder to see when the waves are bigger.

Just got this item yesterday so haven't used it yet. Looks like it will do the intended job and provide more visibility in open water swims. The tether seems to be about the right length so not to interfere with any kick. One item I don't like is the zip lock bag. It's hard to get the deflated float back in the bag. Might not be a good long-term storage option.

Bought these when we swim in our pond with the kids so I can always know where they are as it's deep. Love them! One deflated first time out and a free replacement arrived within a couple days! Wonderful service.
