Start at inner shoulder, come down the front of the torso and go between the legs. Continue up the back to the start of the tape on the shoulder.

In addition to being comfortable and stylish, I think the connection with an Olympic and World Champion sports hero is a great attribution of this swimsuit. With so much attention on political squabbling, wars in far-off places and domestic discord, being able to focus on something positive like the sport of swimming — which manages to stay out of controversy — and one of its great athletes — who does the same — is such a welcome diversion.
