Measure around the widest point of your hips and buttocks.
Start at inner shoulder, come down the front of the torso and go between the legs. Continue up the back to the start of the tape on the shoulder.

My main reason for choosing this suit was for the full bottom coverage. The waistband doesn't seem to have any (or much) elastic so the drawstring needs to be pulled tight to make sure the bottoms don't swim off while lap swimming. Other than that, the bottoms perform great.
