Measure around the fullest part of your chest.
*For women, this measurement is NOT the same as your bra band size.
Hold the end of the tape at your belly button and wrap around your waist to the front.
Measure around the widest point of your hips and buttocks.
Start at inner shoulder, come down the front of the torso and go between the legs. Continue up the back to the start of the tape on the shoulder.

I'm athletic, not overweight, actual pant size is 33. I have a butt. I purchased the 34 and 36 of this brief. Well, the 34 is super comfortable (and not tight), but if I spread my legs out there is some escapage!
I have other brands of 34s and 32s, no issue. I kept the 36 sporti for the extra room in front and only for casual use, but if you are a legitimate swimmer and want a tight suit, I don't really see how this suit cut with a narrow front panel that pulls your junk upwards will keep things contained if you really spread out. I don't think I'm exceptional in that department, but I am a little more muscular (cyclist) than average.
Just be aware before you order...If you were bigger than average, there's no way this suite would work for containment.

I had to replace several of my Speedo suits and saw their constantly rising prices so I gave Sporti a try. It's the same fit, the same comfort, the same everything at a faction of the cost. Even if they turn out to have less longevity, they're still worth the price.
