My daughter swam in HS and now as a freshman in college. We have purchased this suit 4 times (first 2 were closed back version) because she likes the compression the best (also have worn Arena (less compressive-comfy) and TYR (too tight on her thighs where the elastic hits)). I went by her measurements on the chart the first time and she ripped it right away (sz 24); that was a LOT of money down the drain. Next suit I went up to a size 25 and we got it on her, taking a full 30 minutes with 2 people, and ended up with a small tear on the back shoulder, but wearable. It was her fault; DO NOT pull anywhere except on the seams, you have to be really patient and that isn't always easy for a teenager. The suit performed fabulously, she set several PRs and schools records, meet records, etc. Before repurchasing for the next championship meet the following year, I talked to a salesperson about the rips and they recommend an open back for easy of getting it on and going up again to a sz 26. Well, that was fine and she did well, but it only took like 5-10 minutes to get on, so I doubted it was her true size. Now we are at the time for her college championship meet, and I went back to a 25 open back and it took her 20 minutes to get on (with tech suit spray), I think we may have finally gotten it right, hah! For reference, she is 5'5" and about 135#, strong/thicker thighs and butt (open back much easier for getting by the bootie). She wore the old tech suits in a couple invites earlier…
