This suit is the only suit out of eight suits my son tried that is high enough in the waist for a tall swimmer! He is a multi-race competitor with IM and Breaststroke being his key events. This suit allows for flexibility through the hips for him to do his kicks, yet has enough compression to help keep his muscles firing through longer events. It does a good job at lifting his hips and keeping him level in the water and allows him to finish strong. According to the measurements given he fell perfectly between a 20 and 22. The 22 ended up being the correct fit.

Going strictly by size chart, would need a 25, but ordered a 26, and it was a little small for my son. (Normal waist size is 32, with muscular build.) Size chart should include thigh measurement.

My son’s times decreased by 2 seconds. After swimming a regular suit he stated he glides through the water with this tech suit. The size charts are accurate so be sure to measure with a tape before. This suit is amazing and worth every penny!
