I find it very hard to train by yourself and therefore, I decided to purchase the FINIS tempo trainer to help improve my times and to keep a good pace for my 500 free sets during practice. It has been wonderful so far and I feel faster. I prefer mode 2 the best. I highly recommend this product! The beeps for me are loud enough. Mind you, I am 35 years old. ^_^

It is a great tool for swimmers to make a better connection to their stroke rate, distance per stroke and time. It allows them to experiment to learn the optimal values for each.
