It's fine. I understand that having a snorkel or their version will help with this product. The main attraction is to prevent shoulder strain & they tell you that it will submerge but does the job of keeping you aligned.

In the words of my 9 year old son, “it works really good.” Based on the reviews, I purchased this kick board instead of a traditional one for my son. He just began his 3rd year swimming on a team. He has always used a traditional, rectangular board, but I wanted to try something different this time. He loves the size, the handle and has been very pleased with it. He would recommend it.

The FINIS Alignment Kickboard has changed our kicking workout sets. It lowers the front half of the body, where the swimmer is now on a parallel line with the waters surface. I was surprised to see how fast our age group students ( ages 7-11) adapted to the ergonomic device. The black strap which holds one hand encourages streamlining memory and keeps the device from getting “lost” in an adjacent lane between sets.
