I am a health/fitness swimmer just getting into competition, swimming with a team 3x per week.
The compartments are spacious enough for a decent size kickboard, fins, paddles, pool-bouy and still have extra space. I use the side pockets to hold goggles in hardcases, and a record-keeping book (I use to track my swims).
Best of all, it sits upright, perfectly. I have not had it long enough to know how well it will wear.
