  • 8/31/2016 Great wetsuit

5 Review Stars By Lou Ann

I participated in my first triathlon last Sunday. The water was 66 degrees, the wetsuit was comfortable and kept me warm. The size chart was helpful, the suit fits great.

  • 8/28/2016 True to size in the body but neck was way too tight

2 Review Stars By Rocky Mtn Mama

I am 5'6, 128 lbs competing in my first triathlon. This suit was recommended to me by several people. I followed the size chart, read the review/comments and ordered a size Medium. I had no issue putting on the suit (beyond the usual joys of getting into a wetsuit!) but I was barely able to zip it the entire way up and when I did, I could not breathe. It choked me. The material at the neck was inflexible, high and constricted my breathing. There was no way I could safely swim in it. Swim Outlet allowed me to return it (tags were still on and it hadn't gone in the water). I spoke with another person who had the exact same issue with it (she is taller and leaner than I am and also had a size Med). I ended up purchasing the TYR Hurricane Cat 1 at her recommendation and it fit much better around the neck. The neck was slightly lower (though did not let a significant amount of water into the wetsuit) and the material around the neck was much softer/more flexible. If you are deciding between these two wetsuits, I would recommend the TYR unless you have a very long, thin neck.

5 Review Stars By New to Tri's

I was told that having a wet suit would help with bouyancy.  It did the trick!  The neck felt a little tight at first but after a couple of minutes I didn't notice it anymore.  The sizing chart is accurate.  It fits correctly and keeps my core temperature consistent even when the water temp is fluctuating around me.  The zipper functions smoothly.

More From ZOOT

Zoot Sports™ was founded in Kona, Hawaii: the home of the Triathlon World Championships. Chrystal Nylin, a Hawaiian native, recognized the need for a cross-functional suit for athletes competing in triathlons. As a solution to having to use transition as "changing areas," she sought to find product solutions for multisport athletes.

Nylin began sewing pads into run shorts, experimenting with swim fabrics, and attaching run singlets to bike shorts to eventually create the Zoot one and two-piece racesuits for triathletes competing in Ironman.

In 1996, Zoot Hawaii moved to the mainland and expanded the product line. It has now grown to be a global premier endurance sports brand, distributed across 22 countries and has introduced the first Triathlon-Specific Footwear Line. Zoot continues to draw on its history in the sport and its athletes to deliver the most comprehensive, technologically-advanced and complete multisport product line in the world.
