I wanted this wet suit for use in my pool during the cold months. It arrived on time and looked just fine but it was returned because it was too small for me.

I love X-Terra wetsuits, but needed a 5/3 minimum thickness. Immediately when I took it out of the box I could feel it wasn't as thick as my existing Vortex Xterra 5/3. When I looked up specs for the Volt on other websites I then discovered it was in fact a thinner wetsuit and SwimOutlet had listed it wrong.

I'm new to OW swimming, so I can only compare this to my surf and SCUBA suits, but I loved it from the first time out. Nice trim in the water, thinner neoprene around the arms = natural stroke, no fighting the suit. Plus, you can't beat the price for an entry-level suit! I'm 5'1", 120 lbs and got the M, which is comfortable. I get a little water in around my neck if I'm not particular about the neck closure, and I suppose one size down would snug that up, but I've got actual thighs and a butt to contend with, so M works for me.
