1/11/2019 Suit material absorbs water

I'm a very loyal Xcel user. I have had 4 Infiniti xzip wetsuits since 2007. I needed a spring suit and found this on sale so I thought I'd give it a shot. Felt great when I first put it on, flexy and stretchy. But as soon as I spent time in the water I noticed that the suit seemed to get a lot heavier, felt "thicker" and was a workout to try and paddle. Almost feels like I had a 4/3 suit on or something. Happened for 3 sessions so far. I have a 2mm Quiksilver springsuit and it feels a lot better. Could be a design flaw with the material selection, that's why its on sale. Will just use this suit when logging

Nice light 2 mil suit that I wear when it’s windy or water temps drop a bit and I don’t feel like wearing a full suit

Bought this suit for my hubs to surf when the full suit is to warm but the waters are not quite warm enough to trunk it. Not heavy at all when it gets wet. Excel is a trusted brand we purchase often.

Great quality suit. It’s a great suit for snorkeling in Hawaii when you want to stay out a long time and don’t want to cover yourself in sunscreen. Lightweight and easy to pack. Worth the price.

1/21/2019 Suit is flexible, but gets heavy

The suit is true to fit, flexible and stretchy. But after getting wet, it feels heavier and it seems like the neoprene material absorbs water. This makes paddling and movement a little more difficult.
