I used to just have plastic on my head while swimming in the pool. Now, I can cover all this plastic with a smart-looking cap. I wear plastic to cover the moisturizing products I put on my hair before swimming in chlorinated water to protect my hair from damage. I do not wear rubber-like swim caps. With Black American hair, those other caps pull out my textured hair.
