  • 8/18/2015 Great but Causes terrible chafing

    2 Review Stars By Devin

I ordered the suit a size up because the previous reviews said that the suit was small. It was great advice and the suit fits perfectly! I love the colors and the material it is made out of. Unfortunately the seat pad sewn into the bottom of the suit was not properly finished and there are raw edges all along the seat pad. These raw edges cause extensive chafing on the inner thighs. After wearing the suit for a quick bike/run training ride my inner thighs were raw and bleeding due to the raw edges. If there were no raw edges along the seat pad I would give this product 5 stars for sure!

  • 9/9/2016 Good Trisuit, Size up when ordering

    4 Review Stars By meilers

The trisuit works great but is quite small for the size. I'm 5'6, 150lbs with large thighs and I had to order up two sizes - I ordered the large first and it was too tight, especially in the shoulder/chest region, but the XL works well. I have tried the suit with and without a sports bra and either seems fine. Also as a reference, I wear a Size 38 TYR swimsuit.

I really like the bead grips to keep the shorts in place.

  • 8/20/2016 Great fit if you order it bigger than your normal size.

    5 Review Stars By Christine

I followed the other comments and ordered the suit bigger than my actual size. I actually ordered it 2 sizes bigger and it fits perfectly. I am very pleased and wore it to my first triathlon today.

  • 3/2/2015 Great tri suit

    4 Review Stars By Sarah

I bought this suit for my first tri and it was great - I did not experience any drag during the swim (which I was a little concerned about) and I felt very comfortable during transitions. I didn't even have to wear a sport bra underneath (am a 34B) and neither did my friend who bought the same suit after seeing me use it the first time, and she is more endowed than I am.  We have received a lot of compliments on the suits!!  The styling is great too - definitely more attractive with the stitching that mocks a bathing suit bottom in the front.  Overall, I love this suit!  Only issue is going to the bathroom once the suit is on, it's hard to slide it down over the hips - but this isn't an issue in the sprint tri's I am doing.   Definitely order a size or 2 up - these suits are tight - on purpose!

  • 8/16/2016 TOO SMALL

    3 Review Stars By AB

Color was great! Would have been the perfect suit, except it was too small. I normally wear a large, so,  ordered a XL after reading the reviews; the sizing runs Small...I would have needed a XXL.

  • 4/27/2015 SMALL

3 Review Stars By Samantha M.

Reading the comments of others, I ordered a size up. I'm 5'4'', 115lbs, and typically wear an XS/S, so I ordered a size M. I could barely pull it up and will be returning it - I would need a L. I am not re-ordering it, though, because the pockets are very small (just big enough for a gu, but not for a bar or shot blocks), and I misread and was looking for a unisuit with a bra.

Overall, the suit seems pretty good quality (untested) and if it fitted, seemed like it would be comfortable (hence, the three stars).

  • 5/8/2015 Just got this in the mail!

    4 Review Stars By Anna

This just arrived so I haven't worn it in action yet.. I am 5'7" 130 lbs, and I got a large in the lime green (I think I would typically wear a medium). Might be a little tight to pull over the hips for some, but my hips aren't huge, so it is fine. Large is a good fit for me.

Feels good and love the color - goes great with my bike. Can't wait to tri it out!

ABOUT THIS BRAND

TYR

Founded in Southern California in 1985, TYR™ has since developed a reputation for high-quality products and equipment. TYR competition swimwear and triathlon gear have been a dominant force in their respective industries. The company is also known for its TYR goggles, swim apparel, triathlon wetsuits and a wide variety of swimming equipment.

TYR was the first company to introduce a pair of goggles designed to fit a woman's face (the TYR T-72). TYR was also responsible for the famous red bathing suits featured on the hit television series "Baywatch." TYR consults with current and former athletes when developing its products. Swimmers know that TYR is a leader in swimsuits, warm-up suits, and swim training equipment. The TYR Tracer Series is one of the most advanced technical suit lines on the market. The TYR Hurricane wetsuits and the TYR Torque collections include top-of-the-line suits for the competitive swimmer.

TYR has also moved into competitive running equipment. From running shirts to shorts, its apparel is designed with the runner in mind. Built with moisture wicking fabric and antimicrobial material, TYR running apparel is designed to give the athlete the most comfortable, dry clothing on the market.

The name "TYR" is derived from the Norse god of warriors, who is said to have embodied victory and glory. Much the same can be said about the athletes who started TYR. Executive Vice President, Steve Furniss, was an Olympian who competed in the 1972 and 1976 Summer Games, and captained the 76th U.S. Olympic Swim Team.
