  • 4/22/2019 Durable Nylon

    4 Review Stars By John

I wanted a comfortable durable nylon suit to train in but not a square leg. This is one size larger than I usually wear but I like the fit. I will say the first suit I owned of this model was navy blue. It seemed to fade quickly. Hopefully the back will hold its color.

  • 4/21/2013 Nylon Suits now hard to find

5 Review Stars By Old Swimmer

Always liked the nylon suits.  Very comfortable.  Trick is to find your right size.    I'm 66, in good shape, and still like the small suits.

  • 3/18/2019 Love the 100% nylon

    5 Review Stars By Ted

This is the first 100% nylon swim brief that I've owned, and I love the comfort of the material. It's a very strong and sturdy fabric, fully double-lined, and quick-drying. It's not at all sheer or "see-through", but it's still a very lightweight suit. The fabric is very high-quality all-nylon material, and it's obviously a very well-constructed brief. I wear it for both swimming and water polo.

The fit is really good on me, and it's very true to size. Basically it's a snug-fitting athletic suit, but not too overly tight for me. It's a great fit for water polo, and also for both training or competitive swimming. The 100% nylon fabric makes it extremely comfortable to wear almost anytime, and it never feels itchy or scratchy like most 100% polyester suits usually feel on me, and even some of the blended fabrics can be a little itchy for me sometimes. There's not very much stretch in this suit, which makes it a great performance brief, offering just the right amount of compression and support while holding everything in place. It fits exactly right for me now, but I'll probably outgrow it by next season. If you're unsure of what size to get, I would say to probably size up one size if you have thick legs or need extra room up front because the leg openings aren't very large and it's an overall rather snug fitting suit, including the front crotch area. If you have thinner legs like me and prefer a more athletic and snug fitting performance brief, then get the correct size from the size chart.

I would like to get more swim briefs and water polo briefs made from 100% nylon, but there doesn't seem to be very many brands that sell them. I'd like to try other cuts and styles of all-nylon briefs, mainly because of how comfortable the material is for me to wear. It would also be great if this suit was available is some brighter and less conservative colors like red, orange, royal blue, or kelly green.

  • 2/1/2015 Cheap.

2 Review Stars By Jill U.

The product was good... For the first month I used it. I am on a High school swim team, so I spend a lot of time in the water, but I've never had a suit last as little time as this one. I bought it right before Christmas, and it went from black to grey in a month, it is see through. I do not recommend buying this product. Also a little tight.

I wear this for utility.  Quickdrying and keeps it's fit.  I can swim daily and it will last for months before I need a new suit, mainly from color fading.

About This Brand

TYR

Founded in Southern California in 1985, TYR™ has since developed a reputation for high-quality products and equipment. TYR competition swimwear and triathlon gear have been a dominant force in their respective industries. The company is also known for its TYR goggles, swim apparel, triathlon wetsuits and a wide variety of swimming equipment.

TYR was the first company to introduce a pair of goggles designed to fit a woman's face (the TYR T-72). TYR was also responsible for the famous red bathing suits featured on the hit television series "Baywatch." TYR consults with current and former athletes when developing its products. Swimmers know that TYR is a leader in swimsuits, warm-up suits, and swim training equipment. The TYR Tracer Series is one of the most advanced technical suit lines on the market. The TYR Hurricane wetsuits and the TYR Torque collections include top-of-the-line suits for the competitive swimmer.

TYR has also moved into competitive running equipment. From running shirts to shorts, its apparel is designed with the runner in mind. Built with moisture wicking fabric and antimicrobial material, TYR running apparel is designed to give the athlete the most comfortable, dry clothing on the market.

The name "TYR" is derived from the Norse god of warriors, who is said to have embodied victory and glory. Much the same can be said about the athletes who started TYR. Executive Vice President, Steve Furniss, was an Olympian who competed in the 1972 and 1976 Summer Games, and captained the 76th U.S. Olympic Swim Team.
