  • 12/27/2020 Super Small

    2 Review Stars By Evangeline

Ordered for my husband. He is a smaller 36 waist. These were super small, fit more like a 32.

  • 12/3/2014 "Royal" color faded very quickly

    3 Review Stars By ddh

I guess I expected more from TYR. I've come to expect fading with the Sporti brand (and in fact stopped buying them because of this), but I expected more from TYR.  These are SIGNIFICANTLY faded after just 8-10 swim practices.

The stitching is now purple, and the main body color is dull.  These were awesome for the first few times my son wore them.

As far as sizing, they seem pretty true to size.  I got my 13 yr old son his normal practice size of 26 (he races in a 24) and they seem fine.  They have not really lost their elasticity yet, and have not gotten baggy like some other brands, so perhaps they do run a teeny bit on the smallish size.

the sizing is off.  This suit was too small.
    Overall, it looks ok.
Returned for another brand that I know fits.

  • 8/16/2016 royal solid jammer

    1 Review Stars By Larry

In the past I have purchased the green and black Solid Jammer and really like everything about them.  However, in my last order I tried the Royal and could not have been more disappointed.  Within the first week the color began to fade.  And now the color is more than 50% gone.  I would not advise ordering this color jammer.

Size runs small... best to purchase 1 size larger.

  • 9/6/2016 Great Suit

    5 Review Stars By SwimMom

I bought this for my son.  The 32 fit him well, even though he wears a 30 in pants size.  The suit is good quality.  We've tried cheaper brands, but they wear out really quickly.  The TYRs last much longer.  I would recommend this suit.

  • 7/15/2020 I wish they had these when I was competing

    5 Review Stars By Rick

The sizing chart was right on. I'm 6'4" and wear either a 36 or 38 waist, with a potbelly, and the Tyr 36 fits perfectly. Length is good, too. The legs fit similar to my cycling shorts, snug but not too tight. This is the first sheer swimsuit I've bought since I was in college, and I couldn't be happier.

About This Brand

Founded in Southern California in 1985, TYR™ has since developed a reputation for high-quality products and equipment. TYR competition swimwear and triathlon gear have been a dominant force in their respective industries. The company is also known for its TYR goggles, swim apparel, triathlon wetsuits and a wide variety of swimming equipment.

TYR was the first company to introduce a pair of goggles designed to fit a woman's face (the TYR T-72). TYR was also responsible for the famous red bathing suits featured on the hit television series "Baywatch." TYR consults with current and former athletes when developing its products. Swimmers know that TYR is a leader in swimsuits, warm-up suits, and swim training equipment. The TYR Tracer Series is one of the most advanced technical suit lines on the market. The TYR Hurricane wetsuits and the TYR Torque collections include top-of-the-line suits for the competitive swimmer.

TYR has also moved into competitive running equipment. From running shirts to shorts, its apparel is designed with the runner in mind. Built with moisture wicking fabric and antimicrobial material, TYR running apparel is designed to give the athlete the most comfortable, dry clothing on the market.

The name "TYR" is derived from the Norse god of warriors, who is said to have embodied victory and glory. Much the same can be said about the athletes who started TYR. Executive Vice President, Steve Furniss, was an Olympian who competed in the 1972 and 1976 Summer Games, and captained the 76th U.S. Olympic Swim Team.
