If you're a confident or competitive swimmer, a Jr kick board should suffice. I noticed that for someone still getting used to the new environment, I'm glad that the board is big & sturdy. If i'm trying to be more submerged during my laps I just hold onto the lower sides. It's makes getting into the water and starting my kicks or breast stroke A lot easier. A Bonus personally is that I enjoyed the PINK as well as the generous $5 Breast Cancer Donation with my purchase. Hope this helps! Could NOT beat the price! Think I stole it for 8$????? The color is awesome and my daughter loves it. It is perfect for her swimming lessons and great size too. Love it. Also, the pachaging was great nothing damaged. I got my items before the "arrival" date!!❤️?
