  • 10/26/2015 Pure perfection.

    5 Review Stars By Cheri

Fit is perfect.  I particularly like this exact style and brand.  As one reviewer stated, I also take out the breast cup forms and use this suit without.  The forms simply are too cumbersome and the suit is just fine without them.  I'm a lap swimmer -  4 days a week all winter and 6 days all summer/30 minutes each time. The suit is completely wet upon entering the water, I rinse it thoroughly/extremely well after each swim, spin it dry, and hand wash it only only once a week.  One of these suits will last at least 6 months - sometimes 8 months.  It never wears out - the only issue for me is the straps will stretch a bit making me too aware of them as I swim/adjusting them etc.  Love this suit.  Perfect for me.  Thank You.

  • 9/4/2015 Nice-fitting suit, runs large in leg opening

    4 Review Stars By cari51

I purchased this one size smaller than the last TYR suit I bought because the fabric seemed to loosen up once it's worn numerous times.  I swim laps 3x per week. This suit fits perfectly but had one leg opening larger than the other.  With my trusty sewing machine, I cinched in the extra 3/4 inch and it looks fine.  I get tired of sending suits back for minor flaws but the extra opening was a problem, thankfully one I could easily fix.  I like the color and style over many other swimsuit choices.  I recommend TYR suits. Like all suits try it on for sizing before you swim.

    3 Review Stars By Barbara

I have not yet worn the swim suit. I like the way it fits but wish they would put more elastic in the legs. I plan to keep it but am not 100% satisfied.

  • 4/8/2015 Super Cute Suit!

    5 Review Stars By Sherri

I purchased this suit in a size 10.  The chest fits nicely, but the body of the suit feels  just a tiny bit big on me--not so much that it looks bad or that I'd send it back. (I think it's just my body type. I'm 5'5, 130 lbs. and wear a 38 D, bra).

I use the suit in my gym's pools for aerobics and lap swimming, and I plan to take it to the beach with me next month.

The suit is a really nice quality, very comfortable, and the pink stripes are super cute and feminine.  I'm hoping it'll last for a good while in spite of all of the chlorine!

  • 3/13/2015 great suit

    5 Review Stars By Candace

This is a great fitting suit.  I teach water aerobics and am in the pool a lot.  This suit has kept its color and shape after 2 months.  We'll see how it holds up in the future.

  • 1/31/2015 Double layered suit fits great

5 Review Stars By Lynne S.

I love this suit for lap swimming. It is a nice 2 layer fabric that covers up what the other, cheaper suits reveal. While I wouldn't say it lasts 300 uses, I can get 6+ months of 3 times a week use (75 -100 uses) before it starts to pull away from the back seam and lose its shape. That's pretty good for a polyester blend fabric, though not terrific.

My FAVORITE part of this suit that is not even in the details is that the cups are removable - leaving a sleeker profile, good support (for me), lighter chest area, and easier lap swimming for this older 38B cup swimmer. If you don't like shelf bras because they are too revealing and give no support, and you also hate the heavier bras that are built into many women's fitness suits, this is a great alternative.

I usually wear a 16 in everything, but the 14 in this suit fits great. I think it runs about 1 size large. I would order a size DOWN from your average fitness suit.

ABOUT THIS BRAND

TYR

Founded in Southern California in 1985, TYR™ has since developed a reputation for high-quality products and equipment. TYR competition swimwear and triathlon gear have been a dominant force in their respective industries. The company is also known for its TYR goggles, swim apparel, triathlon wetsuits and a wide variety of swimming equipment.

TYR was the first company to introduce a pair of goggles designed to fit a woman's face (the TYR T-72). TYR was also responsible for the famous red bathing suits featured on the hit television series "Baywatch." TYR consults with current and former athletes when developing its products. Swimmers know that TYR is a leader in swimsuits, warm-up suits, and swim training equipment. The TYR Tracer Series is one of the most advanced technical suit lines on the market. The TYR Hurricane wetsuits and the TYR Torque collections include top-of-the-line suits for the competitive swimmer.

TYR has also moved into competitive running equipment. From running shirts to shorts, its apparel is designed with the runner in mind. Built with moisture wicking fabric and antimicrobial material, TYR running apparel is designed to give the athlete the most comfortable, dry clothing on the market.

The name "TYR" is derived from the Norse god of warriors, who is said to have embodied victory and glory. Much the same can be said about the athletes who started TYR. Executive Vice President, Steve Furniss, was an Olympian who competed in the 1972 and 1976 Summer Games, and captained the 76th U.S. Olympic Swim Team.
