  • 8/16/2015 TYR Men's Competitor Trisuit w/Front Zipper

3 Review Stars By Rania T.

    Pros:
It fit like my TYR tri shorts - small; I am 5'8" woman and weigh 133 - I have to order a men's large in their product.
    Nice colors
    Cons:
Very thin, I can tell that it will be too revealing when wet - my swim top shows through and I can only imagine all over once it's wet.

  • 5/28/2014 Great Product

    4 Review Stars By Cody

It fits great (but tight in the crotch, like everything else in this line of clothing). the material feels great as well and keeps you very cool. You can do every tri event comfortably in this suit. The only things I would change is more room in the crotch and a bigger pad. The pads on tri suits are worthless and might as well not even be on there. There should be a little more on there at the very least.

  • 8/10/2015 A Bit Tight but Just Right

    4 Review Stars By Swim4funzies

This suit does the basics well for a starter Tri suit. The suit does fit on the small side, but it feels more like an indoor competitive swimming tight than a movement constricting tight. I fall on the large side of the medium fit for the suit with a 33w and thanks to the snug fit it stays put on my body from start to finish. The bicycle padding on this suit is minimal, but I would rather have a mildly sore rump than serious chafing from too much cushion. Another plus for this suit is its breathability during the bike and run.

Much love for the front zipper which allows for ventilation during the bike and run.

One major complaint with this particular design (especially if choosing a tighter suit) is the width of the shoulder straps. Those with wider necks and shoulders (myself) may find that the straps rub on the neck while swimming. Every experience with this suit has left me with oval burns on the lower neck (plan to compensate with moleskin, vasaline didn't help much).

Check the sizing charts for best fit!!!!

Overall this suit provides a reliable, durable race platform for the beginning triathlete.

  • 7/31/2014 Nice suit!!!

4 Review Stars By Jarod M.

I bought this for a sprint triathlon and it exceeded my expectations. When I first put it on it was a little tight and difficult to get my arms through. Once I pulled it up over my shoulders it fit and felt great. I'm 6'2" and 220lbs and ordered the XL. It wasn't too tight or too loose in any areas. After the swim it dried fast enough to start wicking sweat towards the transition from my bike ride to the run. The pad wasn't even noticeable and no rubbing or chaffing anywhere that I noticed. I did prefer having the front zipper so I could open up the front to breathe deeper and get air flow on the run. Wouldn't have been possible with the rear zip. All in all it was well worth the money.

  • 8/7/2015 Great product

5 Review Stars By John Wren

There isn't much bad I can say about this product other than the fuel storage on the sides could be slightly deeper. I like to carry shot blocks instead of GU packets. I can get the Shot Blocks in there but it feels like they are going to fall out. Other than that small complaint, this is a fantastic starter kit for triathlons. No drag, dries off quickly, the crotch padding isn't bulky, and the front zipper is convenient for both getting off/on as well as opening up to cool down during a run if needed. Recommended for both the seasoned veteran or the first timer.

TYR competition swimwear and triathlon gear have been a dominant force in their respective industries. The company is also known for its TYR goggles, swim apparel, triathlon wetsuits and a wide variety of swimming equipment.

TYR was the first company to introduce a pair of goggles designed to fit a woman's face (the TYR T-72). Swimmers know that TYR is a leader in swimsuits, warm-up suits, and swim training equipment. The TYR Tracer Series is one of the most advanced technical suit lines on the market.
