PRODUCT DETAILS

  • Born out of a collaboration between the industry’s top experts and the world’s most elite athletes, the Avictor Prelude High Waist Jammer is TYR’s fastest, most innovative swimsuit. Showcasing an unprecedented combination of advanced features, this FINA-approved technical suit maximizes performance and gives athletes the ultimate advantage over their rivals.

    FINA approved

    Hydrosphere Technology

    • Leading-edge technology causes water to surround the fabric, rather than saturate it.
    • The hydrospheric effect optimizes the swimmer’s position in the water, thus reducing drag and maximizing speed and efficiency.

    Speed Dry Fabrication

    • Proprietary coating repels water and keeps the suit dry and compressive, keeping swimmers lightweight and fast.

    Supersonic Flex Bonding

    • Advanced engineering allows fully bonded seams to conform and stretch with the swimmer’s body, resulting in a precisely fitted, ultra-compressive suit that won’t restrict natural movement.

    High Waist Design

    • A high waist design provides two additional inches of coverage, for athletes that want added core stability and support in the water.

    Features

    • Rigorously tested to ensure athletes experience a lightweight, snug-fit at all times.
    • Avictor swimsuit performs throughout long meets and multiple swims, providing unmatched comfort and support.
    • 360 degree stretch.
    • 100% Natural movement and mobility.
    • Jammer design hits above the knee.
    • High waist design.
    • All over print.
    • Made in the U.S.A.

    Fabrication

    • 70% Nylon / 30% Lycra Spandex.

  • 12/31/2015 Amazing suit

    4 Review Stars By E

This is an amazing suit! By far the best fast skin I've ever worn! Only complaints are that the waterproofing wears off way too fast and it is looser around the bottom of the legs than the rest of the body. Wore it for one meet and at the beginning the suit was completely waterproof and was not saturated at all when I would exit the water, but by the end of the meet the suit was completely saturated and took a while to dry. Other than that the suit is great! It gives you such a high position in the water and reduces fatigue as advertised. Amazing compression, I usually wear a 28 practice suit, and bought this suit in a 24 and it fit perfectly. It did dig into my hips a lot but that's nothing abnormal. Overall a great suit and definitely would recommend.

  • 7/26/2015 Jury's out, at least for younger swimmers.

I'm not sure how much it really helped my son at State as a 10 & under swimmer.  He did extremely well.  As a young 9, he medaled in 5 of his 7 individual races.  He shaved small amount of time in most of his races.  Was his performance helped by the suit, who knows?  He wore one only because we knew every one of his competitors would be wearing a tech suit.  The Avictor was the only tech suit that was small enough to fit him.  His regular racing suit is a 22.  He wore the 20 Avictor which fit him well.

  • 7/14/2015 **! It does NOT disappoint! **

    5 Review Stars By AtlantaMomzilla

Our son is 5'6 and 133 lbs with a size 29.5 in waist measured at the belly button.  He ordered and wore a 26 in the green/blue pattern.  It took him ten minutes to get it on after warm up when he was still a little wet.  He cut 1.37 off his back after a bad start, 2.85 off his 50 free and exactly 3.0 off his breast.  After rinsing it, it dried in half the time that his brother's BlueSeventy did.  According to our kid, it fit very snug in the crotch, bottom and legs but still gave enough during breast for full motion. He liked the rubbery banding around the top of the knees and he said it felt secure on his bottom during turns.

The pattern is VERY 80's so if you have a reserved personality, rethink the purchase because EVERYONE had something to say about the suit.  Our son enjoyed the attention and the cuts on his time made the investment worth it for all of us.

  • 4/10/2015 Like a second skin

    5 Review Stars By Zepplin

Used it at Sectionals, had best times in 4 events, 2 sec. off 100 fly.   I have a great coach and train hard but feel this suit definitely had an impact on my times.  Much better than a laser, water peels off of it and it is slick in the water.   I've never used an Arena but after researching and asking top swimmers in my area I think I found the best.  Try the Activator you won't be sorry.  It's sweet!!!

  • 3/27/2015 Nice suit

4 Review Stars By Older Master's Swimmer

Wore the suit for a 3 day Master's meet (12 events), and had my best times for a number of years (since the full body suit era, which I miss). Several other swimmers complimented me on the suit pattern. I got the higher waist design, so can't tell if there is a difference in feel between the two.

Not much more to say.  A product that permits adult males to fit,  and finally a technical suit with some pizzaz.

    5 Review Stars By Uribehenry

This is an awesome product it helped lower 3 seconds in my 100 breaststroke my worst stroke. You can feel and see the water slide off the swimsuit. It doesn't let any water enter and has compression where needed. I recommend this product. And if your the only one that has it at the meet like me everyone will be watching and you will feel awesome. Remember the pressure is on you since everyone is watching and you have to show how good it is

ABOUT THIS BRAND

TYR

Founded in Southern California in 1985, TYR™ has since developed a reputation for high-quality products and equipment. TYR competition swimwear and triathlon gear have been a dominant force in their respective industries. The company is also known for its TYR goggles, swim apparel, triathlon wetsuits and a wide variety of swimming equipment.

TYR was the first company to introduce a pair of goggles designed to fit a woman's face (the TYR T-72). TYR was also responsible for the famous red bathing suits featured on the hit television series "Baywatch." TYR consults with current and former athletes when developing its products. Swimmers know that TYR is a leader in swimsuits, warm-up suits, and swim training equipment. The TYR Tracer Series is one of the most advanced technical suit lines on the market. The TYR Hurricane wetsuits and the TYR Torque collections include top-of-the-line suits for the competitive swimmer.

TYR has also moved into competitive running equipment. From running shirts to shorts, its apparel is designed with the runner in mind. Built with moisture wicking fabric and antimicrobial material, TYR running apparel is designed to give the athlete the most comfortable, dry clothing on the market.

The name "TYR" is derived from the Norse god of warriors, who is said to have embodied victory and glory. Much the same can be said about the athletes who started TYR. Executive Vice President, Steve Furniss, was an Olympian who competed in the 1972 and 1976 Summer Games, and captained the 76th U.S. Olympic Swim Team.
