  • 3/13/2009 Great suit for the price!

    5 Review Stars By froglegs

The best suit you can get for that cheap. Used in the IM and felt great. Also fits really well and can improve any stroke. The only flaw is that there are better, newer versions of this style of suit that are much more expensive. If your trying not to spend a fortune on a suit this is the suit for you!

  • 3/11/2009 Really good suit but not for distance

    4 Review Stars By TREE

This product is a really good choice for almost any competitive swimmer, but not a good idea for distance swimmers. unless you are used to swimming with a body suit long distances it wouldn't be a good idea to try. Otherwise a really good suit

  • 3/8/2009 Nuts Not To Buy This!

5 Review Stars By Swim/Gym Mom

My son is 12 and entering his 6th year of competitive swimming.  This fit him true to size.  He is approx. 5'2 1/2", weighs about 110 and we ordered a 30. The only concern he had was that no one else had a suit this nice!  For the bargain basement price that this suit is clearanced for...You'd be nuts not to buy this if you have a serious male swimmer in the family!  Well-made, great fit, true to size!
    Care for it gently!

  • 3/6/2009 Cool but can't use it for racing

4 Review Stars By Surf attack

Good fit, but it goes past my son's knees, so he can't wear it at the meets. The navy comes with orange stitching which the description didn't mention. For the price I couldn't send it back. Now all the other kids on the team want their parents to buy them one.

  • 3/4/2009 good but watch out

4 Review Stars By xingpei w.

i bought this for my brother for his state meet to beat his school record in the 100 breststroke. the suit is great and it feels good for him. it makes him go faster but you might wanna buy 4 sizes smaller. he usually wears a 32 but we got a 30 and the 30 dragged a bit. but still a nice product :)

  • 2/23/2009 Great suit!!

    5 Review Stars By Eric

This was my first time using a TYR racing suit.  It fits well and feels good in the water.  I used it in the IM so it is condusive to all strokes. I would recommend this product. Prepare to have someone else zip you up.

  • 12/18/2008 Budget Racing Suit

    4 Review Stars By Tony

This was my first suit that covered my torso.  I was worried it would impede my flexibility in breaststroke.  It felt weird, but I didn't feel like it restricted my stroke.  It did feel like I was fighting it just a little bit on my butterfly arm recovery.
I normally buy a 30 in racing suits.  Since I am tall, and a little bigger in chest and back, I went with a 32 on this suit, and it was the right fit, tight but good.
It was a great value at $56.

ABOUT THIS BRAND

TYR

Founded in Southern California in 1985, TYR™ has since developed a reputation for high-quality products and equipment. TYR competition swimwear and triathlon gear have been a dominant force in their respective industries. The company is also known for its TYR goggles, swim apparel, triathlon wetsuits and a wide variety of swimming equipment.

TYR was the first company to introduce a pair of goggles designed to fit a woman's face (the TYR T-72). TYR was also responsible for the famous red bathing suits featured on the hit television series "Baywatch." TYR consults with current and former athletes when developing its products. Swimmers know that TYR is a leader in swimsuits, warm-up suits, and swim training equipment. The TYR Tracer Series is one of the most advanced technical suit lines on the market. The TYR Hurricane wetsuits and the TYR Torque collections include top-of-the-line suits for the competitive swimmer.

TYR has also moved into competitive running equipment. From running shirts to shorts, its apparel is designed with the runner in mind. Built with moisture wicking fabric and antimicrobial material, TYR running apparel is designed to give the athlete the most comfortable, dry clothing on the market.

The name "TYR" is derived from the Norse god of warriors, who is said to have embodied victory and glory. Much the same can be said about the athletes who started TYR. Executive Vice President, Steve Furniss, was an Olympian who competed in the 1972 and 1976 Summer Games, and captained the 76th U.S. Olympic Swim Team.
