  • 4/17/2015 Great for the money

    5 Review Stars By EA

I was somewhat skeptic initially I had tried other rollers and they all couldn't handle the pressure I would apply and within a few weeks would just be too soft to even waste my time with. Well I have been on this roller for a while now and this thing is amazing gets out all the tight knots and has helped me to run pain free for the first time in a year.

great for tight muscles took some time to learn how to roll with it in certain areas that you want massaged.

  • 2/15/2013 Finds just the right spot to release!

5 Review Stars By Birthday Girl

The roller is large enough to make rolling legs easier and firm enough that it doesn't crush under the weight.  It's a real hit at the gym on sore muscles.

  • 12/1/2012 Great roller, worth the extra $$$

    5 Review Stars By SKI

This is noticeably better than a regular foam roller and worth it. I have this and a rumble roller and use both expending on the area I am working on.

About This Brand

Trigger Point

Cassidy Phillips, Founder and CEO of Trigger Point, is a biomechanical specialist concentrating on sports performance, injury prevention, and the muscular structure that supports the efforts of the body in motion. His objective is to recognize the biomechanical challenges of movement and actions of everyday life and marry them with the biomechanical inefficiencies recognized within patterns of movement defined by a sport of choice or through sedentary patterns of movement such as sitting, walking, and running. Realizing that muscular structure and biomechanics play a role in daily life, Phillips began analyzing athletes' sport-specific movement patterns. His theory was that most injuries developed by athletes don't happen while they're training, and that the traditional aches and pains of aging can be minimized by addressing everyday biomechanical and muscular structure.

Once told that he could never be an athlete again due to a muscular dysfunction called Fibromyalgia, it became his personal mission to understand muscular structure and the regeneration of dysfunctional muscle tissue. Instead of going through the traditional methods of schooling in fear that his out-of-the-box approach would be squashed, Phillips tackled countless hours of research to better understand the various methods of massage, chiropractic care, surgical procedures, and the treatment of traditional injuries in sport due to repetitive motion. Through his research, Phillips felt there was a void in the homecare component of treatment. This is why Phillips decided to work directly with those in need: athletes and non-athletes in pain.

After a long process of trial and error, he married his newly found education to his biomechanical background. The result is a line of patented products called Trigger Point Technologies (TPT) that mirror the feeling of the human hand. Phillips' patented products and methodologies allow a person to address biomechanical challenges via myofascial release techniques and patterns of movement. These techniques can be used both in a clinical setting and within the comfort of one's home. Along with TPT tools, Phillips developed books and DVDs to assist people in using the tools, and to understand what is going on biomechanically and structurally.
