Measure around the smallest part of the waist.
Measure around the widest point of your hips and buttocks.
Start at inner shoulder, come down the front of the torso and go between the legs. Continue up the back to the start of the tape on the shoulder.

For a proper fit, these are suppose to fit very tight. Water enters and acts as an insulator between your skin and the neoprene pants. These loosen up considerably went wet so I ordered one and two sizes down and after quite a few wearings the smaller ends up holding its shape best because of expansion both from water and body. One way to ease putting them on is to spray the inside with a 50/50 mixture of water and hair conditioner, this is commonly used for wet suits.

These leggings, plus a long sleeve bathing suit, keep me so warm swimming for an hour in a cool outdoor pool in the Northwest! I'm 5' 7" and 140 lbs., the medium size fits snug and it takes effort to get them on, which I imagine is necessary. Bought a spare pair as I'm not sure how they'll hold up to chlorine. Excellent price.
