Measure around the smallest part of the waist.
Measure around the widest point of your hips and buttocks.
Start at inner shoulder, come down the front of the torso and go between the legs. Continue up the back to the start of the tape on the shoulder.

This swim shirt is very helpful for protection against sunburn. The fabric stays light and comfortable even when wet. The sizing was more generous than I expected and the XXX-Large is very roomy and long on me. It’s not a problem since I bought this primarily for sun protection while doing standing exercises in the pool but I think I would want a smaller size and tighter fit for use while swimming.
