I have no idea how to rate this size-wise too big or too small. The bottom half is huge and the top half is small. I bought a 24y for my tiny 8yr old and it is like it is made for a woman with huge hips or a baby in a diaper. The straps and the top are so tight she likely won't be able to get it off when she is wet. On the other hand, the leg holes and hips are HUGE. She is a very evenly proportioned kid. If I go any bigger the hip area will be floating away, so she will just have to squeeze into this for swim team. Literally the worst fitting suit I have ever purchased for a kid that is usually an easy fit. It does seem to be quality materials though.

The quality and look of this suit are great. However...

I looked carefully at the size chart to make sure that my daughter would fit in this suit, and she was well within the recommended size. However, it is small enough on her that she can't swim comfortably in it and, after only about 4 uses, I had to order the next size up. If your child is right in the middle of a size (or on the "upper" end), order a size up to save yourself the hassle and expense of buying a larger suit.

10/1/2015 Fun Suit

It's a sturdy suit made out of quality material. The chest is higher to keep your little girl covered, but slightly bells in the middle. The back strap is quite snug, but works for a competition suit. My daughter loves the fun pattern so much I have to make her rotate through her other suits.

This is our 2nd Sporti suit and like the first one, they run small.

your size chart is very confusing I ordered a suit by the size chart that should have been big but barely fits then I ordered an womans 32 that is tight on a 10 year old

I bought this (size 26) for my average sized (not chunky, not petite) 9 year old daughter. I measured her and bought accordingly. She tried it on but couldn't even breathe it was so small. I bought a size 30 in a different suit but same brand for my older daughter and it didn't fit my older one but fit the 9 year old (maybe just a bit big).
