Sadly this suit is not great keeping my son buoyant. The problem is that the foam section of the suit does not extend up the chest wall and include the shoulders. As the foam is only around the waist my 3 year old rolled over in the water instead of staying upright. Two years ago I bought a floatie suit for my daughter at CVS. The entire body of the suit was foam. It kept her upright and was a fun and water safe solution for pool time. The SPF rating of this suit is a plus. The suit seems comfortable and my little guy likes the design.
