  • 7/25/2016 Speedo LZR Racer X Jammer Tech Suit Purple

I was excited to get this jammer but I must admit that it was not everything I had hoped for. First the sizing. I usually wear a 32 for training and my hip measurement was 41.5" and I got size 28. This is correct! It is a competition suit. I see where others think it fits too small. ITS A COMPETITION SUIT! It should take you around 15-25 minutes to put on because you are basically tucking yourself into this suit as you would most competition suites. For me I found the compression to be a bit much and the compression at the leg openings was really to tight around my lower thighs. I had also purchased a coral colored one and unlike the coral colored one this one laid flat at the leg opening where the coral colored one tended to roll up where the X ended. Overall this suit is great for those who really like the compression, but for me it was a bit much.

It should take you around 15-25 minutes to put on because you are basically tucking yourself into this suit as you would most competition suites. For me I found the compression to be a bit much and the compression at the leg openings was really to tight around my lower thighs. The really upsetting thing for me was that at the leg of the suite where the end of the "x" ends, it rolled up. Maybe not a big deal to some but when you buy a competition suit you are looking for something completely streamlined and this kind of ruins it. Being that it was the only competition suit I had and I had to wear it I don't guess I can return it and basically am out of $250.00+ which is the upsetting part. I think i remember seeing another person having this same complaint. Note this only happened on the coral colored one. I have a purple one and this was not the case. I think overall this is a great suit for those who like the compression but if you have larger thigh then know that it may almost cut circulation to the lower leg.

  • 2/8/2016 Puckering around 'seam'

3 Review stars By Kath Lane

Bought this suit and the high waisted version for my son for the approaching sectionals/districts/states competitions. He liked the look and fit of both suits but there was noticeable puckering in the hip and buttock area adjacent to the colored seam. Also, the seam did not consistently lie flat on the thigh at the bottom edge of the suit. This is not a sizing issue. My son typically wears a Speedo size 28 in his practice suits (and they are tight) so going down to a 26 gave a very tight fit.
