  • 7/13/2013 Absolutely Terrible

1 Review stars By Matthew S.

I am a competitive swimmer and I decided to buy these goggles to train with so that my head position would be better. Unfortunately, these are terrible goggles. I opened the box and tried the goggles with the nosepiece size that I have on my speed sockets, and it was very painful to put the goggles on. I then tried every other size nosepiece, but it was the same outcome each time. I suggest not buying this product at all and instead buy a pair of speed sockets. Speed sockets are, in my experience with all the speedo goggles I've worn, the most comfortable and best goggles out there.

I really wanted an up grade for the vanquishers I was using, so I ordered these. When they came I was optimistic. However, they quickly proved me wrong. Every time I jumped into the water, with every nose piece they filled up before the first 50 was over. I was lucky enough to have a friend who lent me his speed sockets for the rest of that practice and they were exponentially better. If you are thinking about getting these I'd suggest you go with the speed sockets.

  • 12/2/2013 Terrible new design

1 Review stars By Brooks P.

They use to make these same ones with different sockets. They use to have the same lenses and stuff but had the rubber fit of about the speed sockets. Now the inside fit is like sweeds, but a bad shape. The swimming world is going to socket style suction and not sweeds. I will have to try to and find the old pairs and buy them out now

    5 Review stars By brooks

I had some problem with head position when I came to the program. The coach had me bringing head to a more neutral position, but the only problem was that I had to lift my head a little to see the wall. This slowed me down a ton by bringing my body up when I should be starting to tuck the head for the turn.

The wall would just be coming up to fast to wait to see the wall (especially when you are dropping 20 lows and 19 highs) with front looking goggles. Got these and my problems have been solved. They are all I use now. Fit is great, once you pick the right nose piece.

I hope they never discontinue these.
