PRODUCT DETAILS

  • Cycling isn’t just for those with narrow feet. The SIDI Men’s Genius 7 Carbon Mega Cycling Shoe stretches 4mm wider across the ball of the foot. It comes with more volume, a high instep and a wider heel cup.

    Weight

    • 319g per shoe (size 42).

    Upper

    • Microfiber Microtech incorporates features of resistance, stability, lightness, water-repellency and eco-friendliness.
    • Manufactured with the “Water-Tech” water treatment for a lower environmental impact, less noxious emissions into the air and work place—water-based products, not solvents were used to benefit the environment and the final user.

    Sole

    • Redesigned Millenium 5 Sole constructed from carbon fiver in a Nylon matrix—infusion of carbon in the nylon increases sole stiffness and durability to ensure optimum performance in the face of prolonged use and temperature changes.
    • Super light.
    • Replaceable Polyurethane heel pad for walkability.

    Details

    • Soft Instep Closure System:
      • Wide, anatomically curved strap combined with a soft, thermos-formed EVA pad distributes pressure evenly over the instep area.
      • Adjustable from both sides to perfectly center the EVA pad over a high or low instep.
      • System eliminates the need for the High Instep Extender and is replaceable.
    • Adjustable during a race, the micrometric closure called “caliper buckle” adjusts by lifting the central buckle—to completely open lift both side buckles together or push the center button slightly to loosen one tooth at a time.
    • High Security Velcro straps with integrated Polymer teeth engage onto each other when the strap is closed to ensure secure closure and an unmovable strap.
    • Reinforced heel keeps the foot in an optimal position and avoids deforming the shoe through extreme performance or prolonged pressure.

    Country of Origin

    • Made in Italy.

ABOUT THIS BRAND

SIDI

SIDI® was founded in 1960 by Dino Signori whose love for cycling steered the company away from mountaineering footwear to bike shoes. In Maser, Italy, SIDI was a pioneer, creating many features that either improved on the first bike shoe models or were the first.

The very first SIDI bike shoe was made with adjustable screws. Because of this, cyclists stopped nailing cleats into the bottoms of their bike shoes. Another innovation that SIDI started was creating a SIDI bike shoe that had a Nylon sole for durable stiffness. SIDI also created the first modern bike shoe that used Velcro® in place of laces. They were even the first to make mountain bike shoes with lugged rubber soles for improved stability and durability. They also innovated style when they were the first to have multicolored bike shoes on the outside and the inside with a 2-colored sole.

They are still improving on their SIDI bike shoes by continuously testing and studying research. This led to the birth of SIDI Aeronet Light, an aerospace material that allows some of the SIDI bike shoes to be 60 grams lighter without losing their shape or toughness. When you are cycling to get to the Kona Ironman® you know how every grams counts. Also, their SIDI High Security Velcro® piece was the first no-slip bike shoe strap ever made. SIDI has respect for the past, they are the last company that designs and makes their bike shoes in Europe, with their sights set on the future.
