  • 8/16/2012 Great feel, lightweight shoe

I do about 30+ miles a week, more if there is an upcoming race.  I didn't think these race-flat looking things would be a good idea at that mileage, but I was pleasantly surprised.

This shoe has just enough cushioning to support you in midstride, but still manages to be lighter than most running shoes out there.  It is very flexible, which is an important issue with almost every runner.
The upper is a two-material mesh, each of different size pores, which allows plenty of breathing for your feet.
For those transitioning into a lighter, more 'minimalist' or barefoot-feel shoe, I definitely recommend this model.

Now for the two things that weren't so great:
    (1) they run a bit small, and I found most people have to buy a half-size larger than they are used to, but no big deal
    (2) Durability was an issue.  Running between 40-60 miles a week, I tended to wear them down weeks earlier than other pairs I've had.  the upper later developed many cracks (at 150# I'm no Peter Pan) and the midsole wore down such as to exaggerate my underpronating issue and misalign the rest of my leg. Perhaps this only happens with me.

Otherwise this is a fun shoe to wear even for long distances.
