This is my second Phelps racer 2.0 suit! First one I bought during the early pandemic and swam in the ocean weekly for the full two years! I had one previous wetsuit (cheaper one bought on Internet - the ones that are always on sale. . . . ) that I wore in a few olympic distance triathlons. I always felt tight around my chest with tight shoulders. The design of this one is perfect for me. Great mobility in shoulders and chest for those long swims. It feels like a second skin, goes on smoothly and is crazy comfortable. WORTH EVERY CENT MORE! Beautifully designed for buoyancy and ease in the water. Because it fits like a swim skin, you need to. be careful pulling it off quickly. My first Racer suit didn't rip, but I always worried it would. My other wetsuit ripped in the first year when I pulled it too fast. It was a thicker neoprene, and didn't have the give that this one does. Like I said - worth spending a little bit more on!
I wore it in the ocean all winter long in Vancouver. Not sure about the conversation, but this suit kept me warm in February ocean temps - I didn't swim less than 6 degrees celsius, but that was pretty damn cold. I also wore it in the lakes in the summer up to about 20 degrees. After that, It was a bit warm!
