  • 4/14/2018 Snug Fit - LOVE THESE!

    5 Review stars By Leah

These are such a great fit. They are snug enough that they don't move while I swim-haven't tried running in them yet. The medium is just right, and I'm 5'4" and 130lbs. There is a band at the top and the bottom that squeeze a little more than the rest, so some people may think it looks like sausage leg. I think it looks fine. It's only a little. I ordered the blue and yellow, and the website photo looks teal, but I real life it's more like royal blue. I love the color, it's just a little different than the way it looks online.

  • 4/3/2018 Chamois too far back

    3 Review stars By Amy

    Me:
    5' 6", 140lb with a long torso, purchased size M.
This is a review after my first ride. I have not swam or run in them yet.

    Pros:
    - My first pair of 8" shorts. I really like the length better, even with my short legs- less sausage legs.
    - A thicker chamois pad than my other pair of tri shorts, which was really just a glorified fleece liner. The chamois on these is a thin layer of a foamy material. I guess I'll see how they are in the water, but this is a plus on dry land.

    Cons:
    - The chamois pad is way too far back- my sit bones hit about an inch in front of the edge of the back part of the pad, so I have no padding at all under my sit bones and the back edge of the pad hangs off the back of my saddle. It might be just how the brand fits my anatomy, but this will be the second pair of Pearl Izumis that I'll be taking a sewing machine to in order to mover the pad forward about 2-3". FWIW, I tend to carry my weight in my rear, so that may be causing the shorts to rotate too far back for me.

Hopefully the shorts will survive my sewing machine, because I like everything except the useless pad placement.

  • 4/6/2017 Love Love Love!

    5 Review stars By ReBeckers

These bottoms are amazing!! They feel so good and they function perfectly. They are a great length if you are looking for a short that is a little longer (I'm 5'2" and they go just above my knees). They look super awesome with the matching top but also work with many other tops as well.

  • 6/2/2016 Good fit

    5 Review stars By Melmote

This was my first pair of bike shorts and I'm very pleased. They don't ride up, are true to size and as flattering as bike shorts can be :) I would buy then again.

Ran a little small. I liked the leg openings not too tight.

  • 7/20/2015 Nice kit

4 Review stars By Sharon M

I got this with the matching tri singlet and it works great. It has lots of compression, so if that's not what you like this won't be it. That said, it does not squeeze extra tight at the leg, it is very comfortable. It has thin, but excellent padding for the bike, no bulkiness on the run. My only complaint is the tags inside; everyday underwear is tag-less, why not sports gear? Even with the tag cut out there is still an area of irritation. The same is true for the draw string at the waist. It fits nicely, has good compression, the draw string is not necessary. I just took it out.
