    • Sizes for heights 4’9” to 6’2”.

  • 6/15/2020 Decals peeling

    3 Review Stars By Mary

First, I have to admit this saved me. Pools are still closed here but I was able to start swimming open water in 56F/13c water in early may with this top and some cheap surf shorts I already had.  I opted for the 2 piece because I already had the shorts, I have a really long torso and never sure how to size a typical wetsuit, and I wanted more temperature flexibility.  For all these reasons, the too is great.   That said, I was a bit disappointed in the quality for the price.  After 2-3 weeks with 3 swims/wk (about an hour each), the orange (which are decals) are all peeling off and hanging in strands. The neck chaffs metoo -to be expected and resolved with KT tape underneath.  Because I didn't have their pants to velcro it on to, it did ride up a touch, but that didn't bother me much. It comes to just below my waist (noting long torso). I ordered by chest size - it looked miniature out of the box but was perfect in the water. I was really happy the sleeves were long enough.

If you have large-ish breasts (I am 36D) do not buy this!  I sized up from my normal medium size to a large, and still a big ouch for my chest. My flat chested girlfriends love these Orcas-- but if you have large breasts beware. I would have sized up to XL but the sleeves were super long already, so no go.

I use this for both open water and triathlons. It is pliable and easy to get on and off.

I am a tri newbie and bought the 2 piece Orca wetsuit since i am a medium on top and small on the bottom, and I could get a better fit.  I was worried that the top and bottom wouldn't stay together- but no problem at all. There is velcro that attaches the top and bottom.    I was swimming in 59 degree water and my body was very comfortable.  It is fairly easy to get on and off as there is a lot of stretch.

5 Review Stars By Cynthia Ryan

Following the Orca sizing guidelines worked for me.  I typically wear a medium in shirts but had to buy an extra large to fit me.  The suit felt great during the swim and stayed attached to the bottom piece.

About This Brand

Orca

In 1992, Scott Unsworth, a former New Zealand age-group triathlon champion, stopped competing due to a chronic back injury. Through his experience working as a swim coach, and from his first-hand experience in triathlon competition, Scott saw that the wetsuits being used by triathletes were completely inadequate for swimming, and he started a company called Performance Speedsuits Ltd.

Scott's early designs were directly inspired by his personal experience with the demands of the sport, and to this day Orca's designs and features are the direct result of working with professional athletes. In the five short years since Orca was launched in 1995 the brand was able to firmly establish itself as a favorite among the world's elite triathletes, and at the 2000 Olympics in Sydney, Australia two thirds of all triathlon competitors wore Orca Speedsuits in the swim leg of the event.

Orca products continue to be designed by and tested on athletes, not computer models, so you can be sure that the designs, materials and production techniques that go into Orca's championship-winning suits are always on the cutting edge.
